Use the links in the above menu to book your time slot now to get onboard the aircraft. No booking fees, under 5s go free (no ticket required for them). Dates have been released for standard aircraft access through into February. If you wish to book further in advance, please contact us using the button above. We do not recommend trying to "walk in" without booking as the hangar/aircraft are used for lots of other events so we cannot always accommodate. For flight sim bookings, as these will be outside standard opening hours, please email us on info@doors2manual.org to book your slot once you have made your booking above.
On arrival at City Airport, Barton, please follow signs to the right for "The Deck" where parking is available- do not drive ahead into the main car park, you will have gone too far. Disabled parking is signposted outside the front of the hangar. No animals are allowed inside the hangar with the exception of support/assistance dogs.
747 EXPERIENCE INFORMATION
You must ensure you arrive no later than the start time of the event booked on your ticket on evening and weekend events. Weekday tickets please arrive anytime up to 30 mins before the session end time of your choice. Failure to do so may result in long waiting times for a slot to get onboard to come available however access to the hangar will be possible. For those purchasing flight deck access add ons, your time slot within the booked event time will be provided on arrival. Maximum time in flight deck is 10 mins for a max group size of 4. In order to ensure the aircraft preservation, under no circumstances are any control surfaces to be touched in the flight deck without prior approval from The Deck staff member present. As children must be supervised within the flight deck, a minimum of one adult flight deck add on must be purchased if children want to go inside.
Once on site, please check in at the desk at the front of the hangar.
General admission to the hangar without an onboard The Deck ticket valid on that day is payable on the door and subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse this to those without a pre-purchased onboard ticket if max capacity has been deemed to be reached. Pricing as follows for hangar ticket:
Adult- £3.00 (13 and over)
Child- £1.50 (5-12 years)
Under 5 - free (due to cabin environment one infant per adult, this includes if they want to go in flight deck)
If total tickets purchased includes only under 5/carer which therefore would generate total of £0, minimum purchase must be 1 adult (and 1 flight deck access if required).
All standard 747 Experience tickets are refundable up until 7 days prior to the event date via the eventbrite website (the book button on this website) . Tickets are also transferable up until 7 days prior- please email info@doors2manual.org for availability.
This ticket gives access to the hangar, Doors2Manual shop and external aircraft photo opportunities.
FLIGHT SIM INFORMATION
Flight sim experience is based in The Deck Hangar, not in the Flight Sim Centre building. Please drive/walk round the back of the flight sim building on arrival and you will see the large blue hangar in front of you. Two ticket types available- taster and extended. Taster provides 20 minute session to include three landing attempts at airport of choice. Extended session consists of gate to gate experience from and to an airport of your choice, gate to gate including taxi and engine start. One emergency scenario in flight will be included. Full details on each ticket type via link in menu above. Minimum age to fly is 10. All children under 16 must be accompanied by adult (who must purchase the additional adult ticket add on).
Full wheelchair access is available to the hangar and Doors2Manual shop. Whilst a ramp is available to board the aircraft, due to the nature of the attraction the inside max dimensions between seating and cabin layout means that whilst most wheelchairs will easily fit onboard and down the aisle, some may be slightly too large and most will not fit through the flight deck door. Carer tickets are available via the above links. For flight sim, as flight deck access is unavailable to wheelchair users and due to space constraints, any users must be able to make their way unaided from the cabin into front cockpit seat.
Due to the distance from the seat to the rudder pedals and control column forward limits, there may be the need for the instructor to assist with flying controls from time to time.
Once booked, you will receive an email with order confirmation and to book your sim date/time (multi sim packs must be booked by emailing us). Flight sim tickets are non-refundable however are changeable (by date/time) up until 7 days prior. Please email us to amend- we will endeavour to offer you your first choice of availability however this may not be possible. Changes made within 7 days of sim booking once confirmed are subject to a £25 fee. Flight sim tickets are valid for 6 months from date of purchase. If you wish to extend the date on your voucher, please email us at info@doors2manual.org where a £20 6 month extension charge will be arranged.
In the event of a booking date being confirmed and then a "no-show" occurring, a complete new booking will be required with no refund or deductions in cost.

Toilet and restaurant facilities are generally available on site at the airport close to our hangar. Please check the City Airport website for further details.

Gift cards are available for purchase via the gift card tab at the top of the page in the menu, these all include flight deck access. Once booked, we will send a gift card out to you in the post leaving the name sections blank for you to complete. gift cards are valid for 6 months from the date of booking.
For 6 month and year passes, a personalised, engraved membership card will be sent to you in this post. This gives unlimited access for you (and any family members if purchasing the family card) to the hangar, aircraft and cockpit on days that we are open for six months from date of purchase. Please bring order confirmation if wishing to visit before receiving your card.
For anyone who has received/purchased a ticket as part of a Doors2Manual shop purchase, please turn up at a time of your choice and show your order confirmation email. You will be assigned a boarding time on arrival. There is no requirement for you to use any of the links above.
