How to find us- Buses are available from Manchester City Centre (number 100 route to Irlam), or you can take the train to Patricroft station and jump in a taxi. There is also regular metros to the Trafford centre where taxis are available and only a short 5 min drive then to Barton Aerodrome. For those wishing to drive, take junction 11 off the M60 and follow the signs for Irlam along the A57. Once you have passed the AJ Bell stadium, the Aerodrome is the first on the right hand side. The postcode for satnav is M30 7SA. On arrival, please follow signs to the right for "The Deck" where parking is available- do not drive ahead into the main car park, you will have gone too far. Disabled parking is signposted outside the front of the hangar. No animals are allowed inside the hangar with the exception of support/assistance dogs.
FLIGHT SIM INFORMATION
Flight sim experience onboard the 747 is based in The Deck Hangar, not in the Flight Sim Centre building. Please drive/walk round the back of the flight sim building on arrival and you will see the large blue hangar in front of you. Multiple ticket types available. Our basic sim ticket provides 20 minute session to include three landing attempts at airport of choice. Extended session consists of a variety of different experiences, challenges, sight seeing, take offs and landings. Why not come prepared to the sim with some airports you may like to fly from/to or some scenic areas that you would like to fly over such as the Las Vegas strip, Manhattan, Eiffel tower. Full details on each ticket type via link in menu above. Minimum age to fly is 7. All children under 16 must be accompanied by adult (who must purchase the additional person ticket add on).
Full wheelchair access is available to the hangar and Doors2Manual shop. Whilst a ramp is available to board the aircraft, due to the nature of the attraction the inside max dimensions between seating and cabin layout means that whilst most wheelchairs will easily fit onboard and down the aisle, some may be slightly too large and most will not fit through the flight deck door. Carer tickets are available please contact us after booking for these to be added on, you will be asked proof from the following list:

For flight sim, as flight deck access is unavailable to wheelchair users and due to space constraints, any users must be able to make their way unaided from the cabin into front cockpit seat.
Due to the distance from the seat to the rudder pedals and control column forward limits, there may be the need for the instructor to assist with flying controls from time to time.
Flight sim tickets are non-refundable however are changeable (by date/time) up until 7 days prior. Please email us on info@thedeck747.com to amend- we will endeavour to offer you your first choice of availability however this may not be possible. Changes made within 7 days of sim booking once confirmed are subject to a 50% booking cost change fee, changes within 24 hours of the start time cannot be changed/cancelled- a completely new ticket will need to be purchased with no refund payable . Flight sim tickets are valid for 9 months from date of purchase. If you wish to extend the date on your voucher, please email us where a £35 6 month extension charge will be arranged.
In the event of a booking date being confirmed and then a "no-show" occurring, a complete new booking will be required with no refund or deductions in cost.

Gift cards are available for purchase via the gift card tab at the top of the page in the menu, for sim and standard experience tickets. Once booked, we will send a gift card out to you in the post leaving the name sections blank for you to complete. gift cards are valid for 9 months from the date of booking.
No food or drink onboard the aircraft.
At all times we reserve the right to refuse entry to The Deck 747 Hangar and aircraft.
