Inclusive 747 Experience – 60 Minute Experience
Our 60 Minute Inclusive 747 Experience has been thoughtfully designed for guests of all ages with Special Educational Needs (SEN), additional support needs, or anyone who would benefit from a calmer, more personalised visit aboard our real Boeing 747.
This extended session provides plenty of time to explore the aircraft, enjoy the surroundings and experience everything at a pace that suits you.
Delivered by one of our instructors with extensive experience supporting guests with a wide range of additional needs, every session is tailored to the individual. There is no fixed itinerary and no expectation to take part in any particular activity.
Before your visit, your dedicated instructor will contact you by email and, if preferred, can arrange a telephone conversation either before or after booking. This gives you the opportunity to discuss interests, communication preferences, sensory considerations, anxieties, mobility requirements or any adjustments that may help make the experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
Unlike a standard simulator session, there is no expectation to fly the aircraft. During your visit you may choose to spend your time exploring the Boeing 747 passenger cabin, sitting on the flight deck, experiencing the simulator, taking photographs, asking questions or simply enjoying the unique surroundings at a pace that feels right for you.
Every experience is shaped around the individual. Whether you want to fully explore the aircraft, enjoy time in the cockpit, experience the simulator or simply relax in the unique environment, our aim is to provide a welcoming and pressure-free experience.
During your visit, your booking will have exclusive use of the aircraft. While another booking may be arriving or leaving around the beginning or end of your session, there will be no other guests onboard during your experience.

* Visual communication cards to support guests who benefit from visual prompts.
* Guests are welcome to bring their own communication aids, visual supports, sensory items or comfort items.
* The freedom to take breaks whenever needed and move around the aircraft at a pace that feels comfortable.
Companion, participants and additional time
Where a guest requires additional support, one complimentary support companion/carer place may be available where appropriate. Evidence requirements are detailed within our General Information section and standard booking terms.
Please note that all guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult for safeguarding reasons. This applies regardless of additional needs or disability.
The required accompanying adult must be booked as a paid additional person pass.
Where a guest under 16 requires additional support and suitable evidence is provided in accordance with our General Information, one additional adult support companion/carer may also attend free of charge alongside the required accompanying adult.
The complimentary support companion/carer place does not replace the mandatory responsible adult requirement for guests under 16.
If you would like to spend even longer onboard, additional experience time may be added. Extra time can be used however suits you best, whether that’s exploring the cabin, spending more time on the flight deck, experiencing the simulator, taking photographs or simply enjoying the aircraft environment.
Additional participants and spectators are also welcome and may share simulator time where appropriate. Any additional experience time, paid additional person passes or spectator places must be added no later than 24 hours before your scheduled session.

Every individual is different, and no two visits are the same. Our aim is not to make guests fit the experience—we adapt the experience to fit the guest wherever reasonably possible.
Our goal is simple: to provide a welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable experience where everyone can discover the magic of stepping aboard a real Boeing 747 in the way that suits them best.
Should you wish to add a special gift with your voucher, the product options allow you the choice of two amazing items both containing part of the aircraft which our 747 is made from, G-BYGA. The first is an engraved piece of aluminium cut from the tail! Check out the photos on the listing here, where an example is shown resting on the flight deck pedestal in G-BYGA itself. Approx 6x4cm, chosen at random. Price is for one, photos are examples only. The second gift item is a Chef & Sommelier 747 adorned “Club” whiskey glass. Named the “Club”, this glass extends our high range of aircraft embossed glassware and we are excited to add our beloved G-BYGA ex British Airways 747-400 aircraft to the collection. G-BYGA has been part preserved by us as “The Deck” at Manchester City Airport Barton. The small disc embossed on the front of the glass is a high polished piece of fuselage skin from the side of this amazing 747, with The Deck logo also engraved. These are limited edition and are photographed here onboard the flight deck of G-BYGA. Size of glass is 38cl- 93mm diameter x 87mm high. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Price is for one glass. A real way to remember the experience!
Gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of booking for vouchers purchased from 3rd October 2024 onwards. Vouchers purchased before this date- please check the expiry date on your physical voucher.. Please use email confirmation if you wish to use before voucher arrives in post. Expiry date can be extended by emailing us on info@thedeck747.com for a charge of £39.95 for an additional 6 months. Flight sim ticket/voucher is non refundable however is date/time changeable up until 7 days prior- please email us to confirm availability on info@thedeck747.com
